We took a short trip up to Siem Reap province right before Christmas, which is about five hours north of Phnom Penh, to see the iconic remains of the Angkorian Empire, which was believed to be the most sophisticated and powerful society of its time.
Pictures just don't do this place justice. The construction and intricacy of these sandstone giants is baffling and intriguing. The ruins are so extensive, that to really take in all the temples, you probably would need an entire week. We only had a day, but we certainly covered some ground. We were able to explore six of the major temple complexes, and there are hundreds more. What minds and hands our Maker has given us!

What a wonder this place was! Hope this is some incentive for you to come pay us a visit. ;)
