Photo Blog of Home Visit

We had such an awesome time at home! After about a week of being home we realized we really needed this respite in our home culture, as we were surrounded by people we love and that love us. It was such a refreshing time for us. Sitting down with folks to chat about the past year was a great way for us to process things that had happened during our second year in Cambodia. Our only regret is that we did not get to see all of you; so please know that even if we didn't get to visit with you this time around, we are blessed to have you and so many wonderful people in our life. That being said, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone for your hospitality, generosity, and care. We especially say thank you to our parents, who went out of their way to accommodate us and support us in the various events we spoke at while home.

With that, here are some picture highlights of our time at home. Enjoy!

Wedding #1: Our dear friends Charlie and Leigh

We used to be in a small group with this couple, and we also served in a youth group with them. They continue to encourage us and challenge us in our faith today.

Cook-outs and fellowship with Melissa's family

Cabin time with Ryan's family

Wedding #2: Ethan and Kari (Ryan's younger sister)

We had a great time getting to know Ethan leading up to the wedding and loved being able to be a part of their special day! Kari is so creative and made a lot of the decorations herself. Melissa loved being able to join in on some of these projects.

While at home we really enjoyed this little cutie. Ryan's parents are currently fostering a baby girl.

Wedding # 3: John and Sarah

John was Ryan's college roommate. Ryan remembers talking to John in college about the men they wanted to become and the wives they wanted to marry. It was an honor to be a part of their special day in the mountains of South Carolina!

While at home we were blessed to have many different opportunities to share about our life in Cambodia. We shared with fellowships as well as at two different coffee shops.
