Earlier in the week Chloe (my
teammate’s 11 year old daughter) and I headed to a cupcake and cake store
called Bloom while everyone else was in teacher training. I have been anxious
to try this place out for a long time and I had great company along to join me!
This is not just any cupcake store! They have 48 different flavors and they’re all
beautiful. Even more important than the appearance is the story behind bloom.
Bloom was started by a lady from Australia
who felt the Father was calling her along with her family to Cambodia. The
short version of the story is that she obeyed – she did come and her cupcake
and cake shop now provides employment for women who need job training and
often for women who have been rescued from trafficking. In addition to the Bloom
store there is a Bloom training school that teaches women in culinary arts.
My caramel chocolate cupcake....they taste as good as they look. These tiny treats are US$1.50 each. Come see us & we will take you! ;)
